COOLINE INT'L DISTRIBUTOR IN BANGLADESH VISITS ZAC OFFICES IN DAMMAM

Mr Momin expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Dammam and told us about his experience in setting the Cooline business in Bangladesh.

In a meeting with Kazi Maksudul Momin, the Managing Director of Abarani Engineering Ltd. in Dhaka, during his recent visit to ZAC offices in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, we had a long talk about business and Cooline International operations in Bangladesh. Mr Momin expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Dammam and told us about his experience in setting the Cooline business in Bangladesh.

“I started my journey with Cooline in Bangladesh in 2002”. He said “At the beginning, we were targeting the consumer market (Window Air Conditioners/Split-units) since Cooline brand and products were new to the local market, and we needed sometime to introduce the brand locally and encourage customers to buy our products. Once we had established good client base and built a strong trust on Cooline products, we decided to start focusing on Central Air Conditioners and the Unitary products sales”.

Mr Momin also talked about the success achieved by Cooline in Bangladesh despite the fierce competition in the region. He told us about the difficulties of establishing new business in Bangladesh and said: “We have recently won several projects for Cooline in Bangladesh like the Pepsi project, Dhaka Ladies Club, and the recent Islampur shopping complex in Dhaka.

While these projects are considered small in cooling capacity, they are a good start for us in this region, since we have been struggling to sell such units during the last 2 years, but we have finally made it. This would allow us to focus on bigger projects in the future”. He also noted: “People started to realize the quality and efficiency of Zamil Air Conditioners, and Cooline products are already competing with major US and Japanese brands in Bangladesh. The customer awareness and winning big projects were a major challenge for us. I am very happy and satisfied with the results so far, and I believe that Cooline could easily supersede other air-conditioning equipment, building trust based on their quality and innovation.” explaining how it was hard to compete with the established American and Japanese companies.

Cooline business in the region had an humble start and it took the work team few years of hard work and determination to set up a progressive and developing business.

Mr Momin was enthusiastic about Cooline further operations in the area: “Currently, we have a small sales staff and two showrooms for consumer products sales (door-to-door), and a small group of our sales staff is focusing on the corporate level. We have also over 5 engineers for pre and post-sales support as this is a very important issue for our clients. Furthermore, we have a full service workshop with over 20 skilled service staff and engineers to carry out all service and support agreements and requests for our clients. There are plans to open new showroom in Dhaka and increase the number of sales and service staff in the near future, as we are expanding our operations in the region (dealer’s network).”

Mr. Momin was pleased for ZAC support to Cooline distributors and dealers in and outside Saudi Arabia, and thanked us for giving him this opportunity to talk to us: “I would like to thank Cooline Saudi Arabia for their support, encouragements and tireless efforts to make Cooline a well-known and trusted brand in Bangladesh”. Cooline Regional Manager, Arif Estitieh was very pleased with the outcome of Mr Momin’s visit saying that this visit “provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen our relationship further and to discuss our international business activities in Bangladesh”.
